Wrapped around the new LEVEL is a new Coverstock material that has physical properties never seen before in the bowling industry. This makes the LEVEL a great choice when consistent, continuous, predictable ball motion is needed.

Equalizer A.I. Core

The Equalizer A.I. Core is the first of its kind combining a very tall, low-density Weightblock with A.I. Core Technology. The most crucial part of the design is the overall density of the Weightblock itself. A lighter density was chosen in order to increase the RG value so the Equalizer A.I. Core would take longer to respond to friction. Lighter densities raise the RG, but they simultaneously decrease the total differential. Traditionally, a shape of this design would require a higher density slug to increase differential into a zone that would be more manageable for a majority of bowlers. The cuts towards the middle of the shape combined with the increased overall length of the Weightblock create more differential than would normally be seen with a shape of this size and density. These features allow the Equalizer A.I. Core to maintain the smooth transitioning properties of a single density pour with a higher RG value while simultaneously providing enough total differential to generate repeatability from shot-to-shot. This makes the Equalizer A.I. Core one of the smoothest we’ve ever designed as it encounters friction.

REVOLUTIONARY COVERSTOCK MATERIAL

The LEVEL features a brand new Coverstock material; RPM (Regenerative Polymer Matrix). RPM is unlike any Coverstock in the history of bowling. The chemistry allows us the flexibility to fine-tune ball reaction without changing any major components of the formula. This first form of RPM is not the strongest version that this chemistry can provide. It is intentionally dialed down and was designed specifically to absorb Oil much faster than previous Coverstocks at this performance LEVEL. There is a strong correlation between Oil absorption and friction. As Oil absorption increases, the amount of friction between the Coverstock and lane will generally increase causing a faster change in direction when the ball encounters friction. As Oil absorption slows, bowlers experience less hook and more control, but sacrifice carry down and hitting power as time goes on. The goal of this first form of RPM was to break this correlation and provide bowlers with a unique combination that has never been seen before in the industry; faster Oil absorption with less response to friction. The new proprietary additives used in RPM had a secondary effect on surface profile that benefits bowlers tremendously. This material maintains its surface profile significantly longer where most textured bowling balls have the tendency to get smoother or “lane-shine” over time.
